The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, has issued an open tender for installing 1.4 MWp of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems at its campus. The tender, published on December 17, 2025, proposes implementation under the RESCO model through an empanelment-based contract.

Under the tender terms, the selected bidder will undertake the complete scope of work, including design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems. The contractor will also be responsible for warranty obligations as well as operation and maintenance services for the installed capacity. The project will be executed at the RIMS campus in Imphal, Manipur.

No tender fee has been prescribed for participation. However, bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 10 million, payable to the General Manager, RIMS. The EMD may be furnished through a bank guarantee or security deposit, with exemptions permitted in line with the tender conditions. The bid validity period has been fixed at 270 days.

While the total project value has not been disclosed, the rooftop solar installation is expected to help RIMS reduce reliance on conventional power sources and lower electricity costs through increased use of renewable energy.

The document download and sale period will run from December 18, 2025 to January 17, 2026. Bid submissions will open on December 29, 2025 and close on January 17, 2026 at 11:00 am, with bids scheduled to be opened on January 19, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the RIMS Imphal campus.

A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for December 23, 2025 at 2:00 pm at RIMS Imphal. Interested bidders have been advised to refer to the tender documents for detailed eligibility and pre-qualification requirements.
