RMC Commissions Rs 384.9 Million Of MAHAGENCO’s Solar Project

RMC Switchgears Limited has successfully commissioned 8.8 MWac of the 46 MWac solar EPC project awarded by Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) at Shevgaon in Ahmednagar district. The commissioned portion is valued at Rs 384.9 million out of the project’s total value of Rs 1.5398 billion, which RMC is executing under a turnkey EPC contract.

This milestone marks a significant step in the project’s execution cycle and reflects RMC’s continued commitment to high-quality and timely infrastructure delivery. The remaining work is progressing as planned, and the company expects to complete the full 46 MWac capacity within the current financial year.

Supporting Clean Energy And Rural Development

Situated in a predominantly rural region, the project is expected to improve the stability and reliability of power supply for farmers, small businesses and local households. Once fully operational, the plant will contribute to Maharashtra’s renewable energy expansion, support irrigation systems, reduce reliance on diesel pumps and enhance the quality of life in nearby villages.

The development represents a major stride towards sustainable growth in Ahmednagar by providing long-term environmental benefits, supporting agricultural productivity and strengthening the local energy ecosystem.
