SECI Announces Winners For 4.455 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) announced commercial and financial bid results for implementation of 4,455 kilowatts (kW) or 4.455 megawatts (MW) of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic projects under the Renewable Energy Service Company mode as part of Tranche-IX. The projects cover 14 educational institutions and government facilities across the country. The tender, issued in April 2026, attracted 22 companies to the techno-commercial process. Bidders included Cleanco Renewables Private Limited, KAHO, Renergo Developers, GP Eco Solutions India, Networth Projects and Stockwell Solar Services.

Renergo Developers Private Limited emerged as the lowest bidder in ten of the 14 packages after financial bids were opened. It quoted the lowest overall tariff of Rs2.94 per kWh for the 2,000 kW project at Visva Bharati University in Birbhum. Renergo secured lowest status at several Central Sanskrit University campuses, including Bhopal (80 kW), Thrissur (140 kW) and Puri (400 kW). It also won packages at Lucknow (90 kW), Agartala (200 kW), Bhalwal (220 kW), Kangra (100 kW) and Devprayag (200 kW), and tied for lowest at the Regional Passport Office in Bhopal (100 kW).

GP Eco Solutions India Limited emerged as the lowest bidder for the Central Sanskrit University campus in Jaipur with a 400 kW installation at Rs3.04 per kWh. Cleanco Renewables secured lowest offers for CSU Sringeri with a 50 kW system at Rs3.50 per kWh and for IIITDM Kancheepuram with a 375 kW deployment at Rs3.10 per kWh. AGF Energy Infra Private Limited won the 100 kW project at IIIT Bhagalpur at Rs3.72 per kWh. Across the 14 packages winning tariffs ranged between Rs2.94 per kWh and Rs3.75 per kWh.

The results mark a further step in SECI's drive to scale rooftop solar under the RESCO model and to promote clean energy adoption in educational and government establishments. Contracts will be awarded and implementation will proceed under tender terms and timelines. The tranche reflects sustained private sector engagement in distributed solar infrastructure and the potential for wider deployment through public procurement.
