SJVN Green Calls for Bids on Solar Projects in Punjab

SJVN Green, a subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has launched the bidding process for solar projects in Punjab, underscoring its commitment to expanding renewable energy infrastructure in the state. The initiative invites developers to participate in competitive bidding to secure contracts for setting up solar power projects.

The bidding process by SJVN Green focuses on developing solar projects under the Open category, aiming to enhance Punjab's renewable energy capacity and contribute to India's clean energy goals. The projects are expected to facilitate sustainable development by reducing carbon emissions and promoting energy security.

SJVN Green, known for its expertise in renewable energy projects, aims to leverage competitive tariffs and advanced technology to optimise energy generation from solar resources. The initiative aligns with Punjab's renewable energy policy objectives and supports the state's efforts to diversify its energy mix.

The solar projects planned by SJVN Green will be developed on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis, allowing private developers to invest in and operate the projects while selling the generated electricity to SJVN Green. This model encourages private sector participation in renewable energy initiatives, fostering innovation and driving economic growth.

As Punjab accelerates its transition towards sustainable energy solutions, initiatives like SJVN Green's bidding process play a crucial role in harnessing solar power for clean and reliable electricity generation. The projects are expected to create employment opportunities and contribute to socio-economic development in the region, while advancing India's renewable energy agenda.
