State Power to Install 35 Lakh Smart Meters
Formalizing the agreement took place on August 21, 2023, at NHPC's Corporate Office in Faridabad. The signing event saw the participation of key individuals such as the General Manager (Civil) of Dibang, the Executive Director from RITES, NHPC's Director (Projects) Shri Biswajit Basu, the Executive Director (Dibang) from NHPC, and the pertinent Executive Director from the Corporate Office.
NHPC Limited is the foremost hydropower company in India, boasting a total installed capacity of 7,097.2 Megawatts in renewable energy, which encompasses solar and wind sources. This capacity is distributed across 25 power stations, including 1,520 Megawatts generated through its subsidiaries.
On the other hand, RITES Limited holds a prominent position in India's transport consultancy and engineering sector. Operating as a Miniratna (Category-I) Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Enterprise, RITES delivers a wide array of services across various sectors, covering a substantial geographical expanse.
