Sudarshan Solar Opens 250 MW Panel Manufacturing Unit

Sudarshan Solar, a long-established name in India’s solar energy sector, has launched its own solar panel manufacturing unit in the city, marking a major expansion of its operations. The fully automated facility, inaugurated on 24 November 2025, has an annual production capacity of 250 MW and will produce panels certified by both MNRE and BIS.

The new plant was inaugurated by Swami Bodhasaranandaji Maharaj, Joint Secretary of Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Belur Math, Kolkata, and Swami Vishnupadanandaji Maharaj, head of Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Senior company leaders — including founder director Sanjay Appa Bargaje, Anjali Jintoorkar, Sangeeta Bargaje and Sanjay Jintoorkar — attended the ceremony alongside employees and distributors from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and other states.

Sudarshan Solar is known for its ISI-certified products and for launching India’s first ‘Three-Star’ rated solar water heaters. It has previously received national awards for “Highest Sales” and “Best Service” and currently operates through a network of more than 350 dealers across the country.

With the commissioning of the new plant, the company aims to deliver high-quality and reliable solar rooftop systems using its own panels at affordable price points. Dignitaries at the event praised the expansion as a timely and significant step, given the country’s growing demand for clean and sustainable energy.
