Suzlon Secures 1,544 MW Wind Projects, Including 378 MW Order from NTPC

Suzlon Energy has strengthened its largest partnership with NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), securing a 1,544 MW wind energy project portfolio, including a recent 378 MW wind energy order. In a regulatory filing, Suzlon announced that it will supply 120 S144 Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT), each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. Suzlon will also handle foundation, erection, and commissioning for the project, along with providing ongoing maintenance and services.

“This partnership is a crucial foundation for India’s largest PSU’s renewable energy journey. With NGEL aiming to expand its renewable energy portfolio to 60 GW by 2032, this collaboration highlights wind energy’s vital role in that transition,” said Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group.

JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon, emphasized that securing major projects in the public sector is a core part of their growth strategy. "Our ability to deliver reliable solutions supports India’s clean energy goals," he added.
