Suzlon Energy has secured a maiden 200 megawatt (MW) wind energy order from Ayana Renewable Power, marking the company’s third developer company led wind order across two states, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. The award was placed under a DevCo model and will be delivered by Suzlon through its integrated project development and execution capabilities. The order highlights the continued focus on utility scale renewable capacity additions in India.

As part of the project Suzlon will install 64 of its flagship S144 turbines, each rated at three point one five megawatt. The S144 platform has now crossed the 10 gigawatt (GW) milestone, underscoring deployment of Suzlon’s three point one five megawatt class technology across multiple sites. Turbine supply and installation timelines were not disclosed in the release.

Suzlon will execute the scope on an engineering procurement and construction basis, covering turbine supply, land acquisition, balance of plant, pooling substation, extra high voltage line, commissioning and ongoing operations and maintenance services. The project will be sited in Limbawas in Madhya Pradesh and the generated power will be connected to the Madhya Pradesh Power Company Limited state grid. The contract reflects integration of asset supply with long term service offerings.

The company stated this is the third DevCo led order spanning two states and said the contract will add to its domestic orderbook while reinforcing its three point one five megawatt technology footprint. The deal is presented as a demonstration of scale for developer led projects and of lifecycle offerings across construction and asset management. Market participants will view the order as further validation of developer engagement in large scale onshore wind deployment. It will also position Suzlon to offer long term operations and maintenance contracts that support performance and durability of assets over economic lifecycles and to strengthen local supply chain participation and employment generation in project regions.
