Tata Power Launches EZ Home Solutions In Hyderabad
The portfolio comprises smart sockets, touch panel switches, converters and motion sensors that integrate with existing electrical installations without major modifications. This modular design makes the solutions suitable for newly constructed dwellings as well as established residences across Hyderabad. Installation is presented as minimally disruptive to household wiring and layouts.
Automated scheduling is configured to ensure appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, fans and washing machines operate only when required, reducing unnecessary usage. The system is engineered to provide offline functionality to maintain essential operations when internet connectivity is limited. The company stated that home automation can reduce electricity consumption by 15 per cent annually, translating to a saving of over 1,300 units of electricity per year.
The offering is positioned as part of Tata Power's broader push into residential energy management and smart living solutions, with emphasis on energy security and convenience. Support and aftercare are included to assist customers with setup and optimisation of energy usage patterns. The launch is expected to broaden access to intelligent home technologies in the region and to support household efforts to manage energy demand more efficiently.
Tata Power indicated that the system is compatible with a broad range of household appliances and can be retrofitted to standard switchboards, allowing phased adoption without full home rewiring. The mobile application provides scheduling, energy monitoring and alerts to help households identify high consumption patterns and alter behaviour. Local installation partners will provide on-site assessment and configuration to tailor the solution to individual home needs.
