Time Technoplast, Poppe + Potthoff and Imperial Auto Form Hydrogen Alliance

Time Technoplast Ltd has entered into a strategic partnership with Germany’s Poppe + Potthoff GmbH and New Delhi–based Imperial Auto Industries Ltd to jointly develop and deploy comprehensive hydrogen system solutions across India. The collaboration marks a significant step towards accelerating the country’s clean-energy transition.

The partnership brings together complementary strengths across the hydrogen value chain. Time Technoplast contributes its expertise in high-pressure Type-IV composite cylinders used for hydrogen storage and transportation. Poppe + Potthoff adds its advanced precision engineering capabilities, including high-pressure test benches and its TOPAQ system designed specifically for hydrogen applications. Imperial Auto Industries provides deep experience in fluid-conveyance assemblies for major automotive and industrial OEMs.

Together, the three companies will focus on strengthening India’s emerging hydrogen ecosystem, covering storage, distribution and end-use applications. The collaboration aims to stimulate domestic innovation, support skilled job creation and contribute to India’s long-term decarbonisation goals.

In a joint statement, the partners said they were “delighted to unite complementary capabilities” in an alliance designed to deliver reliable, scalable and future-ready hydrogen technologies that will support India’s clean-energy ambitions.

The partnership also reflects a shared vision to advance next-generation energy solutions at a time when India is positioning itself as one of the world's most dynamic hydrogen markets.
