Waaree Renewable Technologies Secures EPC for 450 MWp Solar Project in Rajasthan

Waaree Renewable Technologies has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from a domestic independent power producer for the turnkey execution of a 450 MWp solar power project in Bikaner district, Rajasthan. The project is scheduled for completion in FY2027-28.

The award covers the complete delivery of the project, including design, engineering, inspection, procurement, supply, delivery, erection, testing and commissioning. The company said the project would add to its unexecuted order book, which stands at more than Rs. 55 bn.

The scope requires Waaree Renewable Technologies to manage the project through multiple stages, from initial design and engineering activities to equipment procurement and delivery. It will also be responsible for construction-related execution, system testing and final commissioning of the solar facility.

Viren Doshi, whole-time director of Waaree Renewable Technologies, said the award strengthened the company’s order book and demonstrated its ability to execute projects of this scale for large developers. He said Rajasthan remained one of the company’s most important markets and that the Bikaner project reinforced its development pipeline in the state.

Doshi added that the company’s immediate focus would be on early mobilisation and commissioning within FY2027-28. He also indicated that the company was continuing to pursue opportunities linked to solar generation and energy storage.

The LoA follows recent awards covering 800 MW AC, equivalent to 1,109 MWp, of solar capacity and a separate 291 MWp solar project paired with 280 MWh of battery storage. Both projects are scheduled for completion in FY2027-28, adding to the company’s portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy work.
