Waaree Wins 300 MW Solar Module Order in Rajasthan

Indian solar module manufacturer Waaree Energies has secured a 300 MW module supply order from Sembcorp Green Infra Private Limited.

Under the agreement, Waaree will supply its advanced G12R TOPCon dual-glass bifacial modules for Sembcorp’s large-scale solar power projects in Rajasthan. The modules will be deployed across Sembcorp’s project sites in the state, supporting the development of high-efficiency and durable renewable energy assets.

Waaree said its bifacial modules are engineered to deliver higher energy yields and long-term performance, making them suitable for utility-scale applications. Deliveries under the contract will add to the company’s expanding portfolio of renewable energy projects across India.

Sunil Rathi, Executive Director at Waaree, said the order highlights the company’s ability to deliver future-ready, high-efficiency solar technology at scale. He added that as India expands its renewable energy footprint, Waaree remains focused on supporting utility-grade projects through innovation, reliability and world-class manufacturing.

The G12R TOPCon modules offer several advantages for large solar developers, including high bifaciality for improved energy output, strong performance under low-light and high-temperature conditions, enhanced durability through dual-glass construction, and a lower levelised cost of energy for large renewable portfolios.

The order comes amid a growing shift towards domestically manufactured, high-technology solar solutions. As India advances towards its 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity target, domestic module manufacturing is expected to play a critical role in enabling large-scale, high-efficiency renewable energy projects nationwide.
