The West Bengal Green Energy Development Corporation Ltd (WBGEDCL) has invited e-tenders for a renewable installation at Haringhata Layer Farm in Nadia district. The works cover design, procurement, installation and commissioning of a one megawatt peak (MWp) grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic system integrated with a half megawatt (0.5 MW) and two megawatt-hour (2 MWh) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The contract includes operation and maintenance obligations post commissioning. The scheme is aimed at supporting farm operations and state renewable targets.

The authority estimated the total project cost at Rs 113.7 million (Rs 113.7 mn), including GST. The successful bidder will undertake five years of operation and maintenance from commissioning and complete the works within 120 days of site handover. Bidders must provide technical designs and generation reports as part of their submissions.

Financial conditions include a non-refundable tender fee of Rs 10,000 plus 18 per cent GST and an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 2.274 million (Rs 2.274 mn). The award requires a Contract Performance Guarantee of 10 per cent of the Letter of Award value and an additional performance security of 10 per cent where the quoted bid is 80 per cent or less of the estimated cost. Eligible bidders must be registered Indian companies with at least one year of presence in West Bengal and have executed similar government solar projects in the last five years. The tender also requires experience in Battery Energy Storage System projects of at least 20 kW/40 kWh and an average annual turnover of 30 per cent of the estimated cost over the prior three financial years.

A mandatory site visit is required prior to submission. The document download opened on 6 February 2026, the pre-bid meeting was held on 11 February 2026 and bid submission opened on 12 February 2026, with the last date set at 27 February 2026 up to 4:00 pm. Technical bids are scheduled to be opened on 2 March 2026 and offers must remain valid for 180 days from the opening of the financial bid.
