UltraTech Cement expects its production capacity to rise to 159.25 million tonne per annum (MTPA ) following the completion of its ongoing expansion plans. The Aditya Birla Group company will add 22.6 MTPA of capacity through a combination of brownfield and greenfield growth plans, for which it had approved a Rs.128.86 billion capital infusion. The company has already put 3.2 MTPA of production capacity into service. This is the first phase of a 19.9 MTPA capacity.
