A gigantic 450 tonnes
generator rotor has been
installed at the 4,000 MW
Yadadri Thermal Power Plant
project site near
Dameracherla in the
Nalgonda district. The rotor
has been set up using a
tower crane as part of the
second facility of the plant.
The BHEL authorities were asked to finish the works to enable
commercial operations of the first two units by June 2023 as per the
contract and also synchronise the third unit. Reportedly, the State
government is willing to commission the power plant to satisfy its future
power needs.
