Yadadri thermal power plant gets a gigantic generator rotor

A gigantic 450 tonnes generator rotor has been installed at the 4,000 MW Yadadri Thermal Power Plant project site near Dameracherla in the Nalgonda district. The rotor has been set up using a tower crane as part of the second facility of the plant. The BHEL authorities were asked to finish the works to enable commercial operations of the first two units by June 2023 as per the contract and also synchronise the third unit. Reportedly, the State government is willing to commission the power plant to satisfy its future power needs.
