Centre approves 21 greenfield airports

The Centre has accorded an 'In-principle approval' for the setting up of 21 greenfield airports across the country. So far, 10 such airports have been operationalised in the country. Since 2018, seven airports including Pakyong (Sikkim), Kannur (Kerela), Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Sindhudurg (Maharashtra), Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh), Orvakal (Andhra Pradesh) and Donyi Polo (Arunachal Pradesh) airports have been operationalised apart from the inauguration of Manohar International Airport at MoPA, Goa.
