ASV launches mid-size track loader

The new 53.8-horsepower Tier 4, 3-cylinder turbocharged Yanmar engine powers ASV's mid-size RT-50 Posi-Track loader, providing 8 per cent more power than the previous model.

The machine has a 58.5in width, a 9.1-ft lift height, a 1,400-pound rated operating capacity, and a 7.1 mph top speed, making it ideal for rental centres and contractors working in tight spaces such as construction, landscaping, and snow clearing. The RT-50 is designed to be pulled behind a half-ton pickup or SUV.

The unit has an auxiliary hydraulic pressure of 3,000 psi and a flow rate of 13.3 gallons per minute. To prevent power loss, the hydraulic system includes large line sizes, hydraulic coolers, and direct-drive pumps, all of which are designed to transfer more flow and pressure directly to the attachment. Operators can change attachments from the cab using an optional hydraulic quick attach system.

In temperatures ranging from -40° F to 118° F, the RT-50 can operate at full load 100 per cent of the time. Heat and air conditioning are available as options in an all-weather cab, and a pressurised cab provides a cleaner in-cab environment.
