HPL Renews Haryana Steelers Deal for Third Season

HPL Electric & Power Ltd, a leading Indian manufacturer of low-voltage electrical equipment, has renewed its partnership with the Haryana Steelers kabaddi team for the third consecutive season. As the Official Partner for HPL Wires, the company continues to support the reigning champions from the previous season.
The renewed collaboration aims to enhance HPL’s brand visibility in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, where kabaddi maintains a strong following and deep community ties. This move underlines HPL’s ongoing commitment to grassroots engagement and regional market expansion.
“We are pleased to continue our association with the Haryana Steelers for a third year,” said a company spokesperson. “In the past two years, HPL Wires has witnessed robust growth, including a 35 per cent rise in Q1 FY26. This partnership provides an ideal platform to connect with younger consumers and accelerate penetration in high-potential markets for our Consumer & Industrial product lines.”
HPL’s Consumer & Industrial segment, which includes switchgear, wires, cables, fans, and lighting products, is backed by a vast distribution network of over 900 authorised dealers and more than 85,000 retailers. The company continues to see consistent sales growth and healthy profit margins in this segment.
Karan Yadav, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW Sports, welcomed the continued collaboration. “We are delighted to have HPL Electric & Power once again supporting the Haryana Steelers. Strategic partnerships like this are crucial for the success of the team and for furthering the development of kabaddi in India. With the team entering the new season as defending champions, we look forward to another exciting chapter with HPL.”
In the Metering & Systems segment, HPL remains a key player in India’s smart metering initiatives, with over 99 per cent of its order book tied to projects under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Provider (AMISP) programmes. The company leverages in-house R&D and advanced manufacturing capabilities to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.
Founded in 1975, HPL Electric & Power continues to operate under its flagship ‘HPL’ brand and serves both domestic and international markets, exporting to over 40 countries.
