Josts Wins Rs 56.2m Order From North Bihar Power Utility

Josts Engineering Company climbed 3.34 per cent to Rs 300 after announcing that it had secured an order worth Rs 56.2 million from the North Bihar Power Distribution Company. According to an exchange filing, the contract includes the supply of three Cable Fault Locator Vans equipped with portable generators. The project covers design, assembly, testing and delivery, with completion expected within five months of the purchase order.

The company clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group have any interest in the awarding authority, and the contract does not qualify as a related-party transaction under regulatory norms.

Josts reported orders in hand totalling Rs 2.13 billion as of 30 September 2025. With a strong order pipeline, the firm said it anticipates improved performance in the second half of FY25–26. Based in Mumbai, Josts Engineering manufactures and supplies material-handling equipment and engineering products for a range of industries.

On a standalone basis, the company posted a 70 per cent year-on-year decline in net profit to Rs 12.3 million for Q2 FY26, as net sales fell 19.2 per cent to Rs 473.6 million. Profit before tax dropped 66.96 per cent year-on-year to Rs 18.8 million, although it more than doubled sequentially.
