Kirloskar Brothers Secures ISO 19443 for Nuclear Pumps

Kirloskar Brothers (KBL) has strengthened its position in nuclear pumping solutions with its Advanced Technology Product Division (ATPD) at Kirloskarvadi achieving ISO 19443 certification. The globally recognised standard underlines the company’s commitment to stringent quality, safety and reliability requirements for the nuclear sector.

The certification applies to Important To Nuclear Safety (ITNS) activities, covering marketing, design and development, manufacturing, and the supply of centrifugal pumps and allied components, including sub-assemblies classified as ITNS.

KBL manufactures a range of pumps for nuclear power plants, including primary and secondary sodium pumps, primary coolant pumps, shutdown cooling pumps, and secondary circuit pumps. The company is a leading provider of pumping solutions for critical nuclear applications such as heat transfer, high-temperature and high-pressure systems, boiler feed, and circulating water systems, serving governments and nuclear power entities globally.
