Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd. has commissioned a 31 megawatt (MW) DC ground-mounted solar PV project at Junachay village in Kutch district, Gujarat, for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited. The project was developed under the Renewable Energy Policy and Green Energy Mission and will add renewable capacity to the state grid. The plant was executed between October 2022 and March 2026, reflecting sustained project management and engineering delivery. Final testing and energisation protocols were completed as part of the commissioning process.

The installation incorporates high-efficiency 550 Wp bifacial solar modules that enable dual-side absorption to enhance energy conversion and yield. A single-axis tracker mounting system has been installed to maximise solar capture across daily sun cycles and improve plant performance. The design and component selection were intended to ensure long-term reliability and operational stability in the region’s climatic conditions. The tracker system and bifacial modules were selected to boost annual energy yield and reduce the levelised cost of energy.

Company leadership described the commissioning as a significant step in its delivery of large-scale renewable solutions and highlighted the combination of advanced technology and execution capability.
