Liebherr secures 130-dozer deal with Turkey’s State Hydraulic Works

Liebherr Turkey has signed a major equipment supply agreement with the Turkish State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) for the delivery of 130 crawler tractors to be used across the country’s key infrastructure and environmental projects.

The agreement covers 120 PR 756 Litronic and 10 PR 736 Litronic crawler tractors, with production scheduled at Liebherr’s facility in Telfs, Austria. This marks a significant continuation of the long-standing collaboration between DSİ and Liebherr, which began over a decade ago with the delivery of PR 754 Litronic dozers.

Designed for heavy-duty operations, the PR 756 Litronic boasts an operating weight of 35,400–43,000 kg and a 260 kW (353 HP) engine. It features hydrostatic drive for efficient pushing performance, fuel economy, and reduced wear. The PR 736 Litronic, with an operating weight of 21,200–25,500 kg and 160 kW (217 HP) engine, is better suited for compact, detailed work such as slope shaping and fine grading.

Both models come with intuitive controls, ergonomic cabins, and built-in assistance systems to enhance safety and productivity. Standard features include ECO fuel-saving modes and GPS readiness.

The machines will be deployed across DSİ’s wide portfolio of projects, including dam and canal construction, flood basin development, and riverbed cleaning. They will also support emergency operations such as forest fire management and flood response.

DSİ currently operates a fleet of around 2,000 heavy-duty machines and is known for its institutional expertise, often using individual units for over two decades. The authority’s trained personnel, along with ongoing support from Liebherr for training, servicing, and spare parts, ensure long-term efficiency and reliability.

This new delivery reinforces Liebherr’s commitment to supporting Turkey’s infrastructure development with robust and high-performance machinery.
