SANY India has supported the first all-women batch of excavator operators at the National Academy of Construction (NAC), Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant step towards gender inclusion in India’s construction sector. A total of 22 women trainees recently completed the certification programme, which focused on building professional skills for equipment operations in infrastructure projects.

The training programme was conducted using the SANY SY120 excavator, facilitated by SANY India to enable hands-on learning and industry-ready skill development. The company also designed the training syllabus to align with global operational standards, while NAC trainers were trained and certified by SANY India to ensure effective delivery of the programme.

Following completion of the course, participants received certification under the Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council (IESC) framework. The certification is expected to enhance employability across infrastructure and construction projects nationwide. NAC will also provide placement support to help trainees transition into professional roles within the construction equipment sector.

The certificate handover ceremony was recently held at NAC-AP in Pulivendula, Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh. Madhusudan Katragadda, Dealer Principal, Madhura Engineering Pvt Ltd, attended as chief guest and presented certificates to the graduating trainees.

SANY India stated that the initiative reflects its commitment to inclusive skill development and workforce capability building in the construction industry. By enabling access to professional training and recognised certification, the programme aims to create new opportunities for women in equipment operations, a segment traditionally dominated by male workers.

The graduating trainees expressed enthusiasm as they received their certifications, marking the start of their careers in the construction equipment industry. Representatives from NAC and SANY India attended the ceremony and congratulated the trainees on successfully completing the programme."
