Shell Lubricants showcased its portfolio of lubrication and equipment reliability solutions for the construction and mining sectors at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2026, held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The company also launched Shell Rimula R4 Plus for off-highway applications.

Shell Rimula R4 Plus uses Synthetic Technology and is designed for operating conditions involving high loads, elevated temperatures, extended working hours and exposure to contamination. Shell said the lubricant provides up to 2X superior protection against corrosion, deposits and wear, while enabling up to 40 per cent lower top-up requirements.

At the exhibition, Shell also demonstrated a range of lubrication products and technology-enabled services aimed at improving equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

The showcase included the Shell Gadus range of greases integrated with Shell Tactic ALS automatic lubrication systems, Shell Lube VideoCheck for assessing engine condition through endoscopy, and on-site lubrication bay solutions. According to the company, these solutions are intended to support improved maintenance practices, reduce equipment downtime and enhance operating performance.

Shell Lubricants said its product portfolio has more than 5,000 OEM approvals globally. The company is combining its global technical capabilities with India-specific products and services for sectors including construction, mining, road transport, agriculture, power generation, general manufacturing and engineering.

According to Kline & Company’s global lubricants market assessment cited by Shell, the company has been the world’s largest supplier of finished lubricants for 19 consecutive years.

In India, Shell’s operations include a global research and development centre in Bengaluru, local manufacturing, sector-specific products and services, partnerships with customers and OEMs, and a distributor network.

Shell’s lubricants portfolio for the Indian market is manufactured at its blending plant in Taloja, Maharashtra, supporting the company’s local manufacturing strategy.
