Transformers and Rectifiers has secured an order worth Rs 228.26 crore, equivalent to Rs 2.2826 billion (bn), from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO). The contract covers the supply of transmission grade transformers and associated electrical equipment intended to strengthen the high voltage network across the state. The company will undertake detailed design, manufacture, factory acceptance testing and logistics to deliver the units to specified substations within the project corridor. The award will support capacity utilisation at the company plant and align with existing production plans.

The scope includes power transformers, transformer auxiliaries and oil handling systems along with commissioning support and spare parts supply for operational readiness. These components are commonly used to regulate grid voltage, support load transfer and reduce system losses as networks expand to meet rising demand. The order reflects demand for upgraded transmission capacity driven by new generation connections and network modernisation plans.

For Transformers and Rectifiers the order bolsters the firm order book and provides revenue visibility for the near term while utilising inhouse manufacturing capabilities. The contract will underpin production schedules at the company plant and sustain employment across engineering and shopfloor functions. Management indicated that completion of deliveries will follow industry standard project milestones and quality assurance protocols. Deliveries will be executed in compliance with applicable statutory and environmental norms and standard safety procedures.
