VST Tillers Tractors, one of India’s established engineering and manufacturing companies, showcased its future-ready engineering capabilities and precision-engineered solutions at EXCON 2025 in Bengaluru. With a legacy spanning over five decades, the company highlighted its evolution from a farm equipment manufacturer to a diversified engineering solutions provider serving multiple global industries.
At the exhibition, VST displayed a comprehensive range of 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder compact engines from 17 HP to 30 HP, along with precision components designed for high-demand applications. These solutions have found acceptance across sectors such as construction and earthmoving equipment, DG sets, marine applications, reefer units and cold chain logistics, hospitals, sports complexes and institutional power requirements. The company said its growing capabilities are helping reduce dependence on imported engines and contributing to national self-reliance.
VST also highlighted the expanding role of its state-of-the-art Mysuru manufacturing facility, which is entering new industrial segments. This expansion strengthens the company’s position as a preferred supplier of high-performance engines, driveline units and precision components for domestic and global OEMs.
One of the key attractions at the stall was VST’s iconic 13 HP horizontal engine. Widely used in power tillers supporting farm mechanisation for small and marginal farmers, the engine is also regarded as a trusted power source for concrete cutter machines and construction equipment. The company noted that this engine has become a silent enabler of India’s infrastructure push, powering machines used in road construction and upgrades across the country.
The displays also underscored VST’s entry into new application areas where performance, fuel efficiency and durability are critical. Commenting on the company’s transformation, Antony Cherukara, CEO, VST Tillers Tractors Ltd., said: “VST is undergoing a significant transformation driven by design thinking-led innovation, high-quality precision engineering, and product modernization for global markets. Our focus is to create lasting value through technology, sustainability, and continuous building.”
He added that the Global Technology Center in Hosur will play a key role in advancing future engines, driveline technologies, EV systems and next-generation precision components. VST’s engineering credentials are further reinforced by awards such as the CII Design Excellence, Manufacturing Excellence and Super Shopfloor Awards, and the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Quality Award, reflecting its commitment to robust design and disciplined manufacturing.
