Wolffkran Supports London TVC Redevelopment Phase 2

Wolffkran is supporting Phase 2 of the redevelopment of the historic Television Centre in White City, West London, with the deployment of five jib cranes for two residential buildings—The Ariel and Scenery House. The project is being developed by Mitsui Fudosan UK and executed by Multiplex Construction under strict logistical and planning constraints due to its proximity to the London Underground.
Four WOLFF 355 B cranes were installed between July and August 2025, with one crane initially erected at 77.2 m and later climbed to 95.2 m for slipforming the concrete core. A WOLFF 630 B crane was subsequently installed atop the completed core to continue construction and dismantle adjacent equipment.
Due to oversailing restrictions near the Hammersmith and City Line, crane operations were limited to 75 per cent capacity, with reinforced foundations and careful positioning to avoid railway interference. Despite these constraints, the cranes delivered efficient lifting performance.
The project also required precise planning for assembly and dismantling, including the use of a 650-ton mobile crane under challenging site conditions. Wolffkran’s experience in complex urban environments enabled timely execution despite tight schedules and regulatory constraints.
