AtkinsRéalis, in partnership with Qiddiya Investment Company, has delivered Six Flags Qiddiya City, marking the opening of Saudi Arabia’s first Six Flags theme park and the first Six Flags destination built entirely outside North America. The park is the first of 70 major assets planned within Qiddiya City and represents a key milestone in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy to develop globally competitive leisure and tourism destinations.
The opening ceremony, held under the patronage of HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Province, marks the first major attraction to launch at Qiddiya City. Located southwest of Riyadh, the park spans over 320,000 sq m and features 10 zones across six themed lands, housing 28 attractions and 35 food, beverage and retail outlets. The park introduces a more immersive, story-driven Six Flags format, with environments designed specifically for Saudi Arabia and informed by local culture.
AtkinsRéalis supported the project from concept to delivery, providing integrated design and engineering services across architecture, structures, infrastructure, public realm and ride integration. The park opens with five record-breaking rides, including Falcons Flight, the world’s tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster.
The project reinforces Saudi Arabia’s focus on destination-scale entertainment development and strengthens the long-standing collaboration between AtkinsRéalis and Qiddiya Investment Company in delivering complex, future-ready assets aligned with national growth ambitions.
