A case has been filed against seven developers for embarking on construction projects without obtaining the requisite permissions from civic authorities in Navi Mumbai, according to local police reports on Sunday. Acting upon a complaint filed by an official from the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), law enforcement authorities registered a case under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning (MRTP) Act on Saturday.

The alleged unauthorised construction activities, spanning seven different locations in Turbhe, had reportedly been ongoing since August, in violation of NMMC regulations. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case, and investigations are actively underway, as confirmed by a police official.

This development underscores the importance of adhering to legal procedures and regulations in construction activities to ensure the safety and compliance of projects within Navi Mumbai.
