Brigade Enterprises Ltd, the flagship of Brigade Group, has acquired a prime 5.41-acre land parcel in Velachery, Chennai. The deal, valued at Rs 4,417 million, was advised exclusively by Knight Frank India. The project has a gross development value of approximately Rs 16,000 million and a development potential of 0.8 million square feet.

Velachery’s strategic location offers connectivity to the Information Technology Corridor of Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) and the Central Business District, making it attractive for residential development. This acquisition marks a milestone in Brigade’s aggressive Chennai expansion, now its second-largest market after Bengaluru.

Brigade’s key Chennai projects include Brigade Altius in Sholinganallur, Brigade Xanadu township in Mogappair, and Brigade Icon on Mount Road. The Group follows a multi-sector approach across residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality.

Brigade’s new development will reflect its commitment to aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability, offering premium residences with modern amenities. Knight Frank India emphasised Chennai’s growing residential potential and its strategic appeal for institutional capital.
