A case has been filed against two builders and their associates for allegedly constructing a 10-storey building on a plot designated by KDMC for a garden and night shelter, using forged building permits to sell the flats.
The Rs 180 million cheating case emerged after flat buyers uncovered the alleged fraud and reported it to the Thane Economic Offence Wing (EOW). The EOW then directed the local Bazarpeth police to file an FIR.
The developers involved have been identified as Salman Dolare, Faraz Hare and others.
According to police sources, ten flat buyers have come forward with complaints. The FIR alleges that the developers used falsified documents for plot number 3480 to build the Yusuf Height building and sell the flats.
