Mumbai’s rapidly evolving skyline provided the backdrop for the fifth edition of the Saifee Burhani Expo, organised by the Dawoodi Bohra community at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from December 19–21, 2025. The three-day exhibition, themed Construction and Allied Industries, attracted thousands of visitors and marked the community’s second major trade event in Maharashtra this year, following an earlier showcase in Pune.
Featuring over 120 exhibitors from India and overseas, the expo presented a wide range of construction materials, technologies and services, positioning itself as a focused commercial platform for the sector. The event was inaugurated by Rahul Narwekar, Speaker, Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha.
“Saifee Burhani Expo (Construction 360) plays a critical role in strengthening the construction and real estate ecosystem by bringing together developers, manufacturers, suppliers and innovators under one roof,” said Rahul Narwekar, Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Maharashtra. He added that such forums support collaboration, investment and sustainable growth as Mumbai and Maharashtra expand their infrastructure footprint.
The exhibition also underscored the Dawoodi Bohra community’s long-standing association with Mumbai’s commercial landscape, spanning more than a century. “Our community grew with Mumbai. Our traders and professionals contributed to its markets and services,” said Taikhoom Mohiyuddin, Head of Economic Development Department of the Dawoodi Bohras, noting the community’s emphasis on ethics and quality-driven growth.
A key highlight was the Saifee Burhani Upliftment Project in Bhendi Bazaar. “Construction 360 Expo has been valuable in strengthening our supply-chain ecosystem,” said Abizar Patanwala, Group CFO, Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust (SBUT), pointing to the project’s focus on sustainability, modern technologies and transparent execution.
The expo also reflected Mumbai’s current infrastructure momentum, with discussions around sustainability, AI-driven construction tools and global best practices. International innovations, women-led participation and a strong focus on environmental responsibility reinforced the event’s relevance as Mumbai prepares for its next phase of urban development.
