Dilip Buildcon Declared L-1 Bidder For Chhattisgarh Link Canal

Dilip Buildcon has been declared the L-1 bidder for the construction of the Sikasar to Kodar Reservoir Link Canal pipeline under the Pairy Project scheme by the Water Resources Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh. The contract is for Rs 2,524.32 crore, equivalent to Rs 25,243.2 million (mn) or Rs 25.24 billion (bn), and has been tendered on a lump-sum basis.

The scope of work includes construction of the canal pipeline, testing, trials and run, commissioning and operation and maintenance of the complete system for five years after completion of construction. The contract specifies a completion period of 30 months and covers all civil, mechanical and auxiliary works required for the operational commissioning of the link canal.

The disclosure has been made to exchanges in accordance with the Securities and Exchange Board of India listing obligations and disclosure requirements and related circulars, with an annexure providing detailed contract particulars. The company has confirmed that the order has been awarded by a domestic government department, that neither the promoters nor promoter group have any interest in the awarding authority, and that the contract does not constitute a related party transaction.

The company also notified that, as per its code of conduct on prevention of insider trading and applicable securities regulations, the trading window for insiders and designated persons remains closed until 48 hours after the declaration of the company financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The award augments the firm order book and strengthens its water infrastructure portfolio in central India; the company will undertake requisite project mobilisation and implementation activities under the lump-sum contract terms immediately.
