Dubai completes 104 real estate projects in H1 2026
Dubai’s real estate sector recorded continued expansion in the first half of 2026, with 104 completed projects adding 24,537 new residential units to the market. The completed projects represented a total investment value exceeding AED 111 billion.
Data from the Dubai Land Department showed that the number of completed projects increased by 38.7 per cent compared with the same period in 2025, while the total investment value of these projects rose by 52 per cent.
Badar Rashid Al Blooshi, Chairman, Arabian Gulf Properties, said the growth in completed projects and new supply reflects increasing options for buyers and investors as Dubai’s real estate market continues to expand.
He highlighted that the market is witnessing participation from international investors as well as residents seeking to transition from renting to home ownership. According to Al Blooshi, Dubai’s First-Time Home Buyer Programme has also contributed to increased transaction activity by supporting residents purchasing their first homes.
Al Blooshi noted that rising supply and foreign investment are increasing the focus on project location, quality, developer reputation and property value. He added that buyers are expected to assess projects based on factors such as payment plans, rental yields, potential capital appreciation, amenities and demand within specific locations.
He said increased competition among developers could encourage projects that are more closely aligned with the requirements of end users and investors.
Al Blooshi further stated that Dubai’s regulatory framework, digital real estate infrastructure and improved market transparency are supporting long-term investment and strengthening the emirate’s position as a global real estate market.
