Ganpati Group to Invest Rs. 20 bn in Residential and Hospitality
The strategy includes the group’s first entry into South India through a hospitality project in Visakhapatnam. Ganpati Group is targeting Tier 1 cities, state capitals, metropolitan centres and other high-growth urban markets, assessing locations based on economic fundamentals, infrastructure development, tourism potential and business activity. Lucknow and Visakhapatnam will be the immediate focus of its expansion programme.
In Lucknow, the company’s pipeline includes an ultra-luxury residential project in Vibhuti Khand, one of the city’s prominent premium locations. The group also plans to develop an approximately 200-key premium hotel in the city, adding to its residential and hospitality offering in the Uttar Pradesh capital.
The Visakhapatnam project will be an approximately 100-room business hotel and will mark Ganpati Group’s entry into South India. The company considers the city strategically important because of its port-led economy, expanding industrial ecosystem, tourism potential and developing infrastructure. Nikhil Agrawal, managing director of Ganpati Group, said the investment would support the creation of a diversified, pan-India platform spanning residential and hospitality assets.
Over the next three to five years, Ganpati Group plans to add approximately 800 to 1,000 hotel keys to its hospitality portfolio. It will also continue developing residential and commercial projects in selected markets across India. The development pipeline will cover premium residential offerings alongside projects aimed at the mid-scale and upper-mid-scale segments, allowing the company to address varied demand across urban markets.
