Godrej Buys 16-Acre Plot in Pune's Upper Kharadi

Godrej Properties Ltd. (GPL), one of India’s top real estate developers, has acquired a 16-acre land parcel in Upper Kharadi, Pune, marking its second land deal in the Kharadi–Wagholi corridor this month. The cumulative revenue potential from both projects in the area is now estimated at approximately Rs 73 billion.

The newly acquired land will be developed into a premium residential and high-street retail project with a developable area of roughly 2.5 million square feet. This latest development alone is expected to generate around Rs 31 billion in revenue.

Strategically positioned in the Kharadi-Wagholi micro-market, the site offers strong connectivity to key commercial hubs and is close to major IT zones in Viman Nagar, Magarpatta, and Hadapsar. The location also benefits from robust social infrastructure, including reputable schools, hospitals, malls, restaurants, and luxury hotels—making it an attractive choice for homebuyers.

Gaurav Pandey, Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Properties, commented:
“Upper Kharadi has rapidly emerged as one of Pune’s most promising real estate corridors, driven by its evolving infrastructure and strong connectivity. This marks our second land acquisition in the micro-market, reflecting both the area's growing demand and our commitment to expanding in high-potential urban clusters across India. We aim to deliver a thoughtfully designed, future-ready development that adds long-term value and enhances residents’ quality of life.”

With this move, Godrej Properties continues to strengthen its presence in key urban markets while responding to strong housing demand in India’s fastest-growing real estate corridors.
