Godrej Buys 16-Acre Plot in Pune's Upper Kharadi

Godrej Properties Ltd., one of India’s leading real estate developers, has acquired an approximately 16-acre land parcel in Upper Kharadi, Pune. This marks the company’s second acquisition in the Kharadi–Wagholi belt this month, taking the combined estimated revenue potential from both projects to around Rs73 billion (USD 875 million).

The newly acquired site is earmarked for premium group housing and high-street retail development. The project is expected to have a developable area of approximately 2.5 million square feet, with an estimated revenue potential of Rs31 billion (USD 370 million).

Strategically located in the rapidly developing Kharadi–Wagholi corridor, the land parcel offers strong connectivity to key commercial zones such as Viman Nagar, Magarpatta, and Hadapsar. It is also surrounded by robust social infrastructure, including top schools, hospitals, malls, fine dining options, and premium hotels—making it an attractive destination for homebuyers.

Gaurav Pandey, Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Properties, commented, “Upper Kharadi has quickly become one of Pune’s most promising real estate corridors, thanks to its evolving infrastructure and excellent connectivity. This acquisition reflects our continued focus on high-potential urban clusters and underlines our commitment to delivering thoughtfully designed, future-ready developments that improve quality of life.”

With both acquisitions, Godrej Properties strengthens its footprint in Pune’s high-growth real estate market, reinforcing its strategy of scaling up in established and emerging micro-markets across India.
