The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has announced plans to recarpet nearly 21 km of roads within the industrial area covering phases one and two. The works will aim to restore surface quality and address wear and damage that have developed over years of heavy vehicular movement. The project is described as part of routine infrastructure upkeep to strengthen internal connectivity and support uninterrupted movement of goods and personnel.

The scope of work includes removal of deteriorated pavement layers, preparation of the base, application of new surfacing and improvement of road shoulders and drainage where required. The agency stated that traffic management provisions will be put in place during execution to preserve access for industrial units. Ancillary tasks such as reinstatement of service trenches and refurbishment of signage are expected to accompany the surfacing operations to deliver a durable result.

HSIIDC will follow standard procurement procedures to engage contractors for the recarpeting contract and will supervise staging of activities to align with operational needs of the estate. The phased approach is intended to reduce disruption by concentrating works in defined sectors and sequencing activities to maintain critical routes. Coordination with local stakeholders will be prioritised to identify temporary diversions and schedule works during periods of lower traffic intensity.

The corporation indicated that improved road surfaces are anticipated to lower vehicle operating costs, enhance safety and support faster turnaround times for logistics. Ongoing maintenance plans will be reviewed following completion to preserve the investment and extend pavement life.
