According to the municipal corporation and the Huda, 100 shanties have already been taken down. According to officials, letters have been delivered to illegal inhabitants ordering them to vacate their huts within a certain amount of time, failing which, legal action will be taken.
Ajit Balaii Joshi, the chief administrator of Huda, inspected the location and gave the project his approval. The Huda has submitted its proposal for state permission.
The Huda also intends to build a park on 4.31 acres at the location, a primary school on 0.30 acres, a nursery school on 0.22 acres, and reserve 2 acres for the development of a hospital. On 1.37 acres of land, a sewage treatment plant is proposed.
