Hyderabad: Auction Of 1,400 Shops In 2BHK Colonies
As part of the first phase, auctions for 273 shops in eight colonies of Ranga Reddy district will be held on April nine and ten. Further auctions are scheduled on April 15 and 16 for Hyderabad district covering 10 colonies and 77 shops, on April 15 and 17 for Medchal–Malkajgiri district covering 12 colonies and 892 shops, and on April 15 to 18 and 21 for Sangareddy district covering six colonies and 372 shops. The shops range from 60 to 400 square feet and have been constructed within residential colonies to meet daily requirements and promote local business activity.
The Housing Corporation managing director has indicated that the shops will be sold on an as is where is basis with minimum prices set below prevailing market rates to encourage participation. Prospective bidders are required to visit colonies to select suitable premises and to register for auctions by submitting the prescribed earnest money deposit at the relevant revenue divisional office before 11:00 AM on the scheduled dates. Registration formalities and auction procedures will be overseen by district officials to ensure transparency.
Proceeds from the sales will be utilised exclusively for the development and maintenance of the respective housing colonies, and the creation of shop premises is expected to generate employment opportunities for local residents. Officials have emphasised that the initiative aims to ensure easy access to essential goods and services within colonies while strengthening community infrastructure.
