Indian Green Building Council, under Confederation of Indian Industry, hosted the Green Mysuru Conclave 2026 in Mysuru, bringing together industry, government, and academia to advance sustainable urban development and green building adoption.
The conclave highlighted Mysuru’s growing green footprint of 7.53 million sq ft across 30+ IGBC-registered projects spanning commercial, residential, and industrial segments. The initiative reflects a transition from intent to implementation, positioning sustainability as a core driver of urban liveability and resource efficiency.
Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration, accelerating adoption of green infrastructure, and embedding sustainability into policy and planning frameworks. Key areas included renewable energy integration, waste management systems, and resource-efficient construction practices.
The event featured panel discussions with stakeholders from academia and industry, including institutions such as University of Mysuru and developers like Brigade Group, alongside hospitality and infrastructure players.
Officials from Mysuru City Corporation emphasised the role of civic participation, mechanised waste management, and CSR-led initiatives in building a sustainable urban ecosystem.
The conclave concluded with a collective commitment to position Mysuru as a benchmark green city, supported by IGBC’s certification frameworks, technical expertise, and policy advocacy to scale sustainable construction and infrastructure development.
