Inauguration of 210 affordable homes in Kamalanagar

Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav inaugurated 210 double-bedroom houses in SPR Hills, Kamalanagar, under the Jubilee Hills constituency. The cost of constructing these houses amounted to 178 million. On Thursday, Srinivas emphasised that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is determined to fulfill the government's electoral promise of constructing one lakh 2 BHK dignity houses for the urban poor.

The Kamalangar project comprises two blocks and is equipped with seven lifts. Additionally, the complex features a 100 kl capacity water tank, reliable power supply, and 15 shops. The revenue generated from these shops will be utilised for the maintenance of the complex, as mentioned by the minister.

The government has invested 8.5 lakh in each 2BHK flat, and a total of 89 houses have already been distributed. The remaining 121 houses will be allocated to eligible families after a thorough verification of their details.

Minister Srinivas emphasised that priority will be given to residents in the vicinity who possess Aadhaar cards, power bills, water bills, and ration cards during the allotment process. To facilitate this, a dedicated selection committee will be formed, he added.

Furthermore, Srinivas mentioned that the distribution of 2 BHK houses in Muralidhar Bagh has already been completed, and the process has commenced for the Erragadda project as well.
