India Post Revamps Delhi University PO To Engage Gen Z

India Post has inaugurated the revamped Delhi University Post Office, the second campus Post Office to be transformed under a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening engagement with Generation Z. The effort, guided by the vision of Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, seeks to re-imagine Post Offices as vibrant, student-centric and technology-enabled spaces that resonate with young citizens.

The redesign was carried out with active participation from student artists of the Miranda House Adversity Fine Arts Society, whose concepts shaped the graffiti, interior décor and promotional material. Their contribution has given the Post Office a distinct youth-focused identity. Modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, dedicated student service counters, parcel packing support and discounted Speed Post document services make the facility more accessible and contemporary.

This transformation forms part of a broader initiative covering 46 Post Offices in educational institutions, all scheduled to be revamped by January 2026.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Member (Personnel) of the Postal Service Board expressed gratitude to Delhi University authorities for their support. Special acknowledgement was given to the Registrar, Dean (Administration), Principal of Miranda House and the wider university leadership for enabling this student-oriented upgrade.

The enhanced Delhi University Post Office follows the recent launch of the modernised IIT Hauz Khas Post Office in Delhi, marking another step in India Post’s commitment to building stronger, more meaningful engagement with young citizens across the country.
