European architectural surfaces brand VOX showcased its design-led approach at FOAID Mumbai 2025, held on 19–20 December at the Jio World Convention Centre, reinforcing its focus on ceilings as a critical architectural element rather than a purely functional surface.
At the two-day event, VOX presented a curated display of its architectural ceiling, wall and surface systems, highlighting how material innovation and design thinking can shape spatial experiences. The brand’s presence was anchored in a collaborative installation conceptualised with architect Sumessh Menon, reflecting VOX’s emphasis on design dialogue and contextual application.
A key highlight of the showcase was the continuation of the Architecture Ideas initiative, a platform that celebrates conceptual clarity and future-ready thinking within the architecture and interior design community. As part of this initiative, VOX introduced a new category titled ‘VOX Ceilings as a Design Statement’, developed in association with FOAID. The category aimed to spotlight ceilings as the “fifth surface” — an often-overlooked design element capable of shaping spatial identity, mood and functionality.
The initiative invited architects and designers to explore innovative ceiling applications across typologies such as hospitality, healthcare, institutional, commercial and residential projects. The winning entry was recognised with a Mercedes, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to celebrating design excellence and originality.
Through its participation at FOAID Mumbai 2025, VOX reinforced its positioning as a design-driven brand that places architectural intent, material intelligence and creative exploration at the forefront of contemporary built environments.
