JW Marriott Resort To Open In Kosi Kalan Near Mathura

Marriott International, Inc. (Marriott International) has signed an agreement with Espire Hospitality Limited (Espire Hospitality) to bring the JW Marriott Kosi Kalan Resort and Spa to the town of Kosi Kalan in Mathura. The resort is scheduled to open in January 2029 and will occupy fourteen acres of landscaped grounds along the Delhi?Agra corridor, providing mindful luxury and personalised experiences beyond traditional gateway cities. The project is positioned to complement the cultural and spiritual attractions of the Braj region and to serve as a growing transit and commercial gateway.

Espire Hospitality is a publicly listed company on BSE that owns and operates a portfolio of hotels and resorts and is pursuing an expansion plan that includes fifteen new openings by the end of FY?27. Marriott International described the signing as a strategic expansion of its luxury portfolio that is expected to support regional tourism and economic activity. Espire Hospitality stated that the collaboration represents a milestone in its growth trajectory and that the development is intended to blend contemporary design with local culture.

The resort is planned to feature 151 guestrooms and suites, including villas with private pools, alongside multiple swimming pools, a fitness centre and the signature Spa by JW. Dining is expected to include three distinct culinary experiences, a speciality restaurant, three lounge bars and a rooftop pool bar to serve varied preferences. Facilities will also encompass a kids' club and a recreational centre with tennis and multi?purpose courts to support leisure activity.

The property will offer 950 sq metres of social and meeting space and 2395 sq metres of outdoor lawns, with a dedicated bridal suite to position the resort as a wedding and MICE destination. It is located a 45 minute drive from Mathura and a 50 minute drive from Vrindavan, while the railway station is five km from the site. Delhi International Airport is approximately 114 km, a two hour drive, and the upcoming Noida International Airport will be a one and a half hour drive, improving accessibility for domestic and international visitors.
