Ludhiana improvement trust plans new residential scheme
Green industry will be given prominence at Lohara side under this plan. The authorities have begun to get ready. To find a consultant, tenders have been posted.
Various commercial entities, according to the government, are sprouting up along the South City. The LIT officials intend to introduce a green industry/residential programme.
LIT Chairman Tarsem Bhinder visited places like Lohara, Jaspal Banger, and surrounding districts with authorities.
A plan exists to buy 250–300 acres of property. Now that the administrative process is complete, officials have been instructed to commence the acquisition process.
According to sources, officials are also considering using land pooling to implement this plan. The LIT plans to build hotels, restaurants, and theatres along a three to four-kilometer stretch of the canal, with residential areas on the back side.
