NIAT students develop AI platform for construction sector

An AI-powered construction management platform developed by students of the Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIAT) was recognised at TakeOver 2026, the institute's startup showcase, where student teams presented business ideas before entrepreneurs and industry leaders.

Developed under NIAT's BRAVE startup accelerator programme, BuildTrack is an AI-powered construction cost intelligence platform designed to help construction companies manage workforce, inventory, procurement and project operations. According to the institute, the platform already serves 120 clients and aims to improve operational efficiency in the construction sector.

The platform also addresses the need for real-time project visibility by enabling investors, homebuyers and non-resident Indians (NRIs) to monitor construction progress through digital documentation and media updates.

More than 30 student startup teams participated in the event, with one team reportedly generating Rs 15 million in revenue over 90 days through construction sector clients.

Speaking at the event, Midhula Devabhaktuni, Co-Founder, Mivi, highlighted the importance of converting ideas into market-ready products, while Dr Kishore Indukuri, Founder and CEO, Sid's Farm, encouraged entrepreneurs to focus on building strong fundamentals and solving real-world problems. Nivisha Prabhakar, Regional Head of Education at Google Cloud, commended the students' innovation and entrepreneurial approach.

The event formed part of NIAT's entrepreneurship programme, which combines online mentoring with an intensive offline accelerator to support student-led startups.
