REC has won two awards at the 47th All India Public Relations Conference organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), held recently in Dehradun.

REC was recognised in the categories of Public Relations and In-house Journal, acknowledging its sustained efforts in strengthening stakeholder engagement, enhancing transparency and delivering structured, credible corporate communication.

The awards were presented by Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, former Union Cabinet Minister for Education and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, and Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly.

The honours were received by Sunil Bisht, CPM, REC, Dehradun Office, along with members of the Corporate Communications team during the conference ceremony.

As part of the conference proceedings, REC’s Corporate Communication team also delivered a presentation on the ‘Role of Corporate Communication in Public Sector Undertakings’, highlighting how strategic communication supports transparency, trust and institutional credibility in PSUs.

The recognition highlights REC’s strategic approach to public relations and the role of its in-house journal in internal communication, employee engagement and alignment with organisational values.
