Royal Orchid Hotels (ROHL) has announced the launch of Regenta Central Shivani in Solapur, marking its fourth property in Maharashtra this year and its 13th in the state. Strategically located in the MIDC area, the hotel is designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travellers, offering modern amenities and scenic lake views.

Positioned on the Bhima and Seena river basins in south-west Maharashtra, the 65-room property includes three accessible rooms and features a Rajasthani-themed design. Facilities include a swimming pool, spa, gym, and ROHL’s signature dining options, making it a well-rounded stay experience. Solapur, known as the textile city, also holds religious and historical significance, with easy access to temples such as Tuljapur, Pandharpur, and Akkalkot. The city is located just four hours from Pune and Hyderabad.

The property houses the city’s largest common area, including a 170-cover all-day dining restaurant, a 40-cover poolside bar, and a lobby café. It also offers extensive event spaces, including a 1,000 sq ft meeting room, an 8,600 sq ft banquet hall, and a 25,000 sq ft lawn for social and corporate gatherings.

ROHL Chairman and Managing Director Chander K Baljee highlighted the strategic value of Solapur as a commercial hub with strong connectivity and a rich tradition in textiles and handicrafts. He stated that this expansion supports the company’s focus on penetrating micro-markets with offerings ranging from upscale to value stays. The property has been developed in partnership with Mathura Agro Industries.

Venugopal Karwa and Lavesh Karwa, Managing Directors of Mathura Agro Industries, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating that the Regenta brand brings a fresh hospitality experience to Solapur.

Solapur continues to attract visitors with its mix of historical landmarks, religious sites such as the Siddheshwar Temple and Shivyogi Siddheshwar Swami Math, and natural attractions like the Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary and Ujani Dam.
