Royal Orchid Signs 65-Key Resort in Ambala

Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. (ROHL) has announced the signing of a new 65-room resort in Ambala, Haryana, as part of its strategy to expand into emerging hospitality markets across India. Developed in collaboration with Mr Lovepreet Singh, the resort will operate under a management agreement, reinforcing ROHL’s asset-light model and focus on scaling high-quality guest experiences without owning real estate.
Located near the Punjab–Haryana border, the upcoming resort spans 6 acres with a built-up area of 105,000 sq. ft. It will cater to both business and leisure travellers, offering well-appointed deluxe, club, and suite rooms, along with a multi-cuisine restaurant, vibrant bar, spa and salon, gymnasium, and swimming pool.
The venue is also equipped to host large-scale events, featuring four banquet halls (ranging from 3,200 to 8,000 sq. ft.), a dedicated conference zone, and a 25,000 sq. ft. open lawn with tenting capabilities. These facilities make it suitable for destination weddings, corporate offsites, social celebrations, and industry conventions.
Commenting on the expansion, Chander K Baljee, Chairman & Managing Director, ROHL, said:
"Ambala is steadily growing as a travel and business destination. We’re pleased to add it to our network. At Royal Orchid Hotels, we aim to create quality stays in cities still developing on the hospitality map. This project aligns with our mission to reach promising destinations and deliver consistency and comfort to our guests. We’re delighted to partner with Marrievilla Resort to bring the Regenta experience to Ambala."
